Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival (Strasbourg)
EN/ The Festival, founded in 2008 by Les Films du Spectre, is dedicated to broadly-defined fantastic cinema in all of its diversity (fantasy, horror, sci-fi, thrillers, animation and so forth). Since its beginnings, the Festival has never ceased to innovate, proposing a range of eclectic programming that includes both independent and studio films, auteur films, documentaries, shorts, and heritage cinema retrospectives, to name but a few. The Festival showcases both emerging auteurs and established directors, and other professionals of genre cinema. As an affiliated member of the European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation, we hold the Méliès d’Argent competition for European films, along with some of Europe’s most outstanding genre festivals such as Amsterdam, Brussels, Espoo, Leeds, Lund, Neuchâtel, Sitges and Trieste.
