Autumn of 1988, Emmanuel is convinced by Virginie, his secret crush, to free David, her sweetheart, from his new boarding school where he was sent as punishment. During their journey across the green suburbs of Charleroi Virginie confides in Emmanuel telling him about a dark secret which she carries as a burden. What he discovers changes forever their relationship and puts an end to their innocence.
