Clejani, or “Clejanicity” as the gypsies call it, is a village built out of crude earth, right in the heart of Romania. The backdrop of the film is the amazing rise to fame of the musicians of the “Taraf de Haïdouks” and we see three men waiting for their fates to change. Following his grandfather’s death, Ciocotel returns to France after 10 years of absence. Marius, the accordionist, waits for Johnny Depp to show up one day to come and have his eighth brat christened.                                                                                                          Nelu, the most creative one, fights misery.
