In a theatre, a winged man places a caterpillar in a praxinoscope and turns the handle. A clock chimes. A man picks up his satchel and begins a journey that will lead him to different worlds, controlled by different time loops. At each stop, the man brings out a mechanical butterfly that he winds up and launches into the sky. His journey will lead him back to his original theatre.
