In the name of reproductive rights, science has allowed us to develop the practice of surrogacy. Is this progress? If so, what are the caveats to it? The film explores all facets of these questions by spending an entire year in the heart of a service which makes such a thing possible, the C.H.U. St-Pierre in Brussels – Belgium allows surrogacy, provided that it is not done commercially. From questioning the team, which comprises gynaecologists, psychologists, biologists and nurses, to meeting and following the protagonists, a story emerges in which a woman agrees to carry a child for someone else.
