Two awards for the film "Megalomaniac" at the Fantasia International Film Festival

Karim Ouelhaj's "Megalomaniac" wins two awards at Fantasia 2022.

The Fantasia International Film Festival has announced the winners of the Cheval Noir Competition. Among them, Karim Ouelhaj's film won the Best Feature. Eline Schumacher won the Outstanding Performance award for her role as Martha. The film produced by Okayss had its world premiere on 22 July.

Martha and Félix are children of the Butcher of Mons, a notorious Belgian serial killer from the 1990s. While Martha lives an unstable life, riddled with insecurities, her brother, crushed by the family legacy, takes over their father’s killings.

Véronique Jadin's film, Employee of the Month, produced by Velvet Films, was also presented in the Selection 2022 section. Also noteworthy is the presence of two French-speaking Belgian shorts: The Night Watch by Julien Regnard, produced by Squarefish, in the Axis section and Grosse colère by Célia Tisserant & Arnaud Demuynck, produced by La Boîte,... Productions in the My First Fantasia.
