

Two French-speaking Belgian productions selected for FIFA 2025
"On Melting Snow" and "Reluctance" are part of the program for the 43rd edition of the International Festival of Films on Art in Montreal
The International Festival of Art Film (FIFA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and global dissemination of films on art and media arts. Its main activity involves organizing an annual event in Montreal, renowned as the world's largest in its field, where the best productions from around the globe are showcased for eleven days. The festival, culminating in awards determined by an international jury, is the ultimate gathering for artists and professionals in the arts and filmmaking industry, as well as art and cinema enthusiasts.
On Melting Snow by Mojtaba Bahadori (Self-produced) has been selected for theInternational Competition - Feature Films at the festival. The film was part of the 2024 lineup at the Goa International Film Festival.
Each landscape reflects a memory of our planet, memories that have been cruelly divided by time and man-made political borders. For the past 33 years, Sophie Cauvin has been on a journey to engage with these transformed landscapes, collecting and reuniting these fragmented memories, and immortalising them in her astonishing art creations.
Also part of this 43rd edition is Reluctance by Sebastien De Buyl, Sacha Caloussis and Jacques Lemaire selected in the Official Selection - Short Films. The film is produced by Terlingua Films and will have its world premiere at the FIFA.
In a forbidden mass, a ritual of deliverance is orchestrated when ecstatic bodies, magnified by the joy of being together, find themselves irresistibly caught in the delicious clutches of decadence.
Let's also highlight the presence of the co-production Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat by Johan Grimonprez (Onomatopée Films, International Competition - Feature Films).
