he European Film Promotion has announced the participants of the promotion and networking platform Producers on the Move, which will take place before and during the Cannes Film Festival (May 16-27, 2023). Among the selected producers this year is Belgian producer Julie Esparbes.

"Participating in 'Producers on the Move' is an opportunity to meet dozens of people who do the same crazy job, a little bit everywhere in Europe, to exchange with them, and later, I hope, to collaborate together to tell the stories that touch us. It's an opportunity to reflect on my role as a producer, on the journey already taken and the desires for the years to come... and to shine a little light and sparkle on this behind-the-scenes job."

Julie had produced around 20 shorts at Hélicotronc before working with Ann Sirot and Raphaël Balboni on their 2020 award-winning debut feature Madly in Life. She has since produced Emmanuelle Nicot’s Cannes Critics’ Week 2022 title Dalva and the TV series Good People and Ann Sirot and Raphaël Balboni’s The (Exp)erience of Love which premieres in the 2023 Critics’ Week line-up. Her development slate includes new projects by Catherine Cosme, Vasilis Kekatos and Valery Carnoy.
