The Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival has unveiled the programme for its 26th edition. Among the selected films in the "Opus Bonum" competition, is the feature film produced by the CVB and directed by Giulia Angrisani & Mattia Petullà, Terra in vista. The film will be presented for its international premiere at the festival.
Cecilia, Armelle, and Sisco are seasonal workers employed on monoculture fields, living on temporary camps on wasteland. Where one might see them trapped in a life on the edge, they evade preconceptions by their determination to live and think with precariousness. Terra in vista is a bittersweet story without winners nor losers. The story of singular paths and encounters.
The short film Algorithms of Beauty by Miléna Trivier, produced by Bruits asbl, will be presented as a World Premiere as part of the short film competition "Short Joy".
Also selected is Amélie van Elmbt & Maya Duverdier's film, produced by Clin d'oeil films, Dreaming Walls: Inside the Chelsea Hotel, in the non-competition section "Constellations".
Two co-productions also appear in this section: the feature film Gigi La Legge by Alessandro Comodin (Michigan Films) and the short film Crotch Stories by Myleine Guiard-Schmid (Atelier Graphoui).
The next edition of the Ji.hlava festival will take place from 25 to 30 October.
