Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia

EN/ Short Shorts Film Festival

was established in Harajuku (Tokyo) in 1999, with an aim to introduce Japanese audiences to the world of short films. The Festival organizes national tours around Japan, gathering more than 150,000 people in the audience. In addition to these national tours, the Short Shorts Film Festival (SSFF) has toured in LA, Singapore, Myanmar, and Mexico establishing itself as a unique, Japanese-born film festival showcased worldwide. In 2004, SSFF was recognized by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science as a qualifying festival in the short film category for the annual Academy Award.
