Michèle Jacob's first feature film selected at Karlovy Vary!

The list of selected titles for the 57th edition of the Karlovy Vary Film Festival has been unveiled. Among the films chosen this year is Michèle Jacob's debut feature film, "The Lost Children".

Michèle Jacob's first feature film, The Lost Children has been selected to participate in the prestigious Karlovy Vary Film Festival. The film will have its world premiere in the Proxima Competition section, which showcases emerging talents in the film industry.

Audrey (10) and her siblings wake up in an isolated house in the forest and realize that their father’s gone. They try to return home, but the forest is an endless loop. Trapped in the house, Audrey must fight the beast that haunts her to save her siblings from madness.

Michèle Jacob is a director and screenwriter. Graduated in film directing at the IAD in Belgium. She spends ten years writing and directing video clips, advertisements, films for the web and cartoons. Having acquired all-terrain experience, she turns to fiction and concentrates on her own projects. After her short film July 96 which travelled the world's festivals, she made her first feature film The Lost Children with the support of the Centre du cinéma de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. 

Two French-speaking Belgian films are also selected in non-competitive sections. The debut feature film by Baloji, The Omen produced by Wrong Men, is selected in the section Horizons. In the short film category, we find The Oysters by Maïa Descamps, produced by Fox the Fox Productions, in the section Pragueshorts at KVIFF.

The 57th edition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will take place from June 30th to July 8th.
